Inside the Donegal couple’s stunning wedding which ended with a country music party
“Our first dance was a mix of three songs. First was Allan Jackson’s She’s Gone Country, then The Hucklebuck and finally Footloose. What a laugh!
THE HAPPY COUPLE
Karina Gallagher and Paddy McFadden, both from County Donegal.
I bought my dress from Pearls and Lace in Donegal town. I can’t recommend these girls highly enough, especially Trisha.
Stevie Toye (Weddings by Logopix). I don’t even know where to start with this guy, he made me feel so relaxed and you wouldn’t even know he was there. Which guy! Just amazing!
We had our reception at Drumhalla House Rathmullan. Siobhan and Damian are amazing, they know exactly what they are doing. The place is magnificent!
It was a mix of three songs. First was Allan Jackson’s She’s Gone Country, then The Hucklebuck and finally Footloose. Such a laugh!
Paddy’s dad passed away a few years ago, his nickname was sunshine so we asked my dad to sing You are my sunshine in the chapel in remembrance of him, it was very moving and a lovely touch.
We spent a few nights at The Manor House hotel in Enniskillen. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff are fantastic. My dream honeymoon would be Nashville but I’ll keep dreaming for now!
AT FIRST GLANCE
I was 14 when we met. My cousin Emma who lives in Glasgow used to spend a lot of summer days at Tara Court, Letterkenny, so she introduced me to Paddy.
I went upstairs on a random Wednesday night to put on my pajamas and he was on one knee holding a ring at the bottom of the stairs. Simple but so charming.
